LUCKNOW: Ghulam Ali will get treatment that would be far more intense than the one given to Sudheendra Kulkarni. Sena’s warning follows the Pakistani Ghazal singer’s recent consent a few hours ago to perform at the Lucknow Mahotsava on December 3.Speaking to TOI, Anil Kumar Singh, head of the party’s UP unit said the party has always staunchly opposed Pakistani artists performing in India, and Ghulam Ali certainly won’t be an exception.Throwing an open challenge to the state government, Singh said, “Shiv Sainiks have already formed a number of task force teams throughout the state of Uttar Pradesh. The state will get a befitting reply from us, no matter how much force it deploys to protect Ghulam Ali. And, let me tell you that if the state government goes ahead with Ghulam Ali’s concert, he would meet with the same fate as Sudheendra Kulkarni, or perhaps even worse.”
He further alleged that, on the one hand, the state government has failed to maintain law and order and on the other, it is organizing a ghazal concert and that too by a Pakistani singer. “It is simply an act of shamelessness. While our brave Army jawans are being targeted by the Pakistani Army, the state government is providing a stage to a Pakistani singer. Shame on the state (UP) government. In fact, the state government is trying to tease the Hindus, and we will give a proper reply to these antics,” the state Shive Sena chief said.
