ISLAMABAD - Minister for Finance Senator Ishaq Dar has said that the government achieved the objectives of macro-economic stability and now fully focused on economic growth and job creation.
During his meeting with the US Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale, the finance minister said that the government introduced investor friendly policies and foreign investors would be provided maximum facilitation, as they can play an important role in achieving the objective of economic growth. He referred to the investment opportunities in the energy, water conservation, transport and agriculture sectors.
The US envoy lauded the efforts of the finance minister to promote deep economic and trade relations between Pakistan and the US. He said that it was his objective to increase the volume of bilateral trade as well as bring more US investment to Pakistan.
He said that the economic achievements of the government in the last two years were widely acknowledged and would help in attracting foreign investment to Pakistan. Finance minister welcomed the keen interest of the ambassador in promoting investment in Pakistan and assured him of full cooperation. Senior officials of the Ministry of Finance also attended the meeting.
