Peshawar: Afghan militants killed two Pakistani soldiers in cross-border fire.
According to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) statement, the two soldiers were killed and another was injured after unidentified persons gunmen from Afghanistan fired at a checkpost in northwest area near the border.
Both the martyred soldiers were identified as Idrees and Arshad while Saeed was injured.
A senior security official said that the shooting took place in Barmal, an area in South Waziristan, along the bordering Paktika province of Afghanistan.
According to checkpoint sources, light and heavy weapons were used in the shooting.
Neither of militant groups claimed the responsibility for the attack.
