Lahore: At least two battalions of Pakistan Army would be deployed, as quick response force on the day of local bodies election in Lahore.
An important session over the upcoming LB polls was held in Lahore between the policemen and district government officials. The participants discussed strategies made to monitor the elections, whereas a comprehensive talk over the deployment of armed forces was also carried out.
It was decided that as many as two army battalions will be on patrolling in the metropolis, while no political party would be allowed to arrange office in front of any other party’s office. The security personnel were also directed to halt candidates from gathering at sensitive places. Moreover, the session also focused on ensuring every kind of security to the people and candidates.
