KARACHI:Pakistani actor Fawad Khan said in an interview that when he couldn’t get the role in Mira Nair’s ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’, he was heartbroken.Khan certainly has no dearth of female fans. After making it big as a musician in Pakistan and enchanting audiences in Pakistan and India with his famous drama serial ‘Humsafar’, Khan has been on cloud nine ever since. Since making his debut in ‘Khoobsurat’ alongside Sonam Kapoor, Fawad Afzal Khan has bagged a Filmfare award and the female following does not seem to end anytime soon.
The Pakistani actor most recently revealed that he was left heartbroken after he was unable to bag a role in ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’. Here’s what Khan revealed in an episode of an Indian TV show titled ‘Look Who’s Talking’ Season 2, “I came across this film where I was supposed to audition for. And that went on for a whole year. I wasn’t led on. Yes. OK. I was led on for almost a year. I thought that I’d be a part of it some way or the other. So it was for this film called ‘Reluctant Fundamentalist’. It was under consideration for like a whole year. Towards the end of the year, I suddenly realised that it was not working out. It was not going to happen. I was heartbroken. I had waited a whole year and I parked my career aside to a film I thought I was going to do it right. That’s when I got into TV with a vengeance.”
