Mumbai: Hindu extremist threatened Pakistani cricket umpire Aleem Dar to leave India shortly after protest against Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shahryar Khan. who is in India to meet with BCCI president Shashank Manohar and discuss the India-Pakistan bilateral series slated for December here on Monday.
Dar is performing his duty in ongoing India home series against South Africa.
The demand comes from Shiv Sena a few hours after it’s workers attacked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) head quarters in Mumbai ahead of Indo-Pak cricket talks.
The meeting between the PCB chief and his Indian counterpart was rescheduled after workers of the hardline Hindu nationalist party barged into the BCCI headquarters and chanted slogans against PCB Chairma Shaharyar Khan.
The meeting between Khan and his Indian counterpart Shashank Manohar would now take place in New Delhi.
The BCCI sources said that timing of the meeting would not be disclosed.
