ISLAMABAD – Giving his remarks on Nandipur power project scam, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday said that the investigation into the Nandipur scam was going to be a cover-up like Model Town inquiry.
Imran tweeted that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was also involved in Model Town tragedy, but the PTI will not allow these cover ups. He also warned that any MP of PTI in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly who opposes Conflict of Interest Bill, which is part of PTI’s commitment to the nation, has no place in the party.
“I will take strict action against those PTI MPs trying to scuttle the Conflict of Interest Bill,” he added. Imran said that we would sit in the opposition in KP Assembly rather than renege on our core commitments made to the nation.
