LAHORE - Customs Authorities on Wednesday foiled a bid to smuggle seven kilograms gold to Pakistan from UAE by nabbing one accused at Allama Iqbal Airport Lahore.
According to custom authority, a passenger named Muhammad Rizwan arrived at the airport from Dubai through a private plane. On suspicion, the custom authorities searched the passenger and recovered at least seven kg gold from his possession.
The gold worth of millions of rupees consists of 60 baskets that were tied with accused’s legs. The accused belong to Khawaja Saeed Kot area of Lahore. He was shifted to undisclosed place for investigation.
