Sethi hopeful to hold PSL 2017 final at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium

LAHORE:Pakistan Super League (PSL) chairman Najam Sethi has said that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will leave no stone unturned to ensure that the final of upcoming PSL edition is played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.“We will try our best to stage the final of the second edition of PSL in Pakistan,” Sethi said while chairing a top-level meeting in Lahore, further adding that measurements are being made to improve the security situation for international cricketers.

Previously, speaking at the closing ceremony of the first edition of PSL, Mr Sethi said that he would request all international cricketers to at least play the opening and final matches of the next PSL edition in any city of Pakistan.

Even some star cricketers, who were part of PSL in February this year, also extended their readiness to play in Pakistan to revive international cricket in the country.West Indies’ player Andre Russel, who played for Islamabad United at PSL, said that he was ready to play in Pakistan ‘due to some reason’ but he would be worried about his security based on his prior information about Pakistan and state of law and order in the country.
