‘Reports of Amir’s return for Zimbabwe series speculative’

ISLAMABAD (Neo Web Desk) The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday, brushing aside speculations of pacer Mohammad Amir’s inclusion for the forthcoming series in Zimbabwe, said it had not even considered him to be a part of the national team.Talking to APP, a PCB official said though Amir’s performance in domestic season was impressive but in order to make comeback to international cricket he had to prove in first-class as well.“If Amir assures continuity in his form there were high chances of his reconsideration as a national team member,” the official remarked.Speaking about the Pakistan-Zimbabwe series, starting on Sept 24, the official said: “Zimbabwe had supported us in bad times when no other team was ready to play here [in Pakistan].“We have high hopes from the team in the series against Zimbabwe,” he said.
