Political Leadership endorsed it’s unity against Indian aggression, Kashmir issue

Islamabad: An extraordinary important meeting headed by PM Nawaz Sharif has been overwhelmingly praised by the parliamentary leaders.The meeting meant to discuss the security situation with a special focus on the situation arising out of Indian troops’ unprovoked firing at the Line of Control (LoC) and the Indian army atrocities being committed in Occupied Kashmir.

With Foreign Secretary briefing the parliamentary leaders, and PM Nawaz asking for united policy against Indian aggression in the wake of fresh Indian atrocities following Burhan Wani death, Parliamentary leaders conferred their patriotism by praising PM initiative.

A joint statement for the parliamentary session is being prepared to give a befitting response to Indian aggression.

The statement will call for matters to speed up on the diplomatic front. It will call for a United Nations Human Rights Commission to be sent to occupied Kashmir.

The statement will condemn the Indian Army’s barbarity in occupied Kashmir and request the international community to play its role in to put an end to the rights violation in the occupied valley.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said his party supported the government on the Kashmir issue. Bilawal said they would stand shoulder to shoulder with the prime minister when it came to Indian aggression.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi who was representing chairman Imran Khan at the meeting said that his party had several differences with the government yet he chose to attend the meeting. “We are with the government on the Kashmir issue. The present government tried very hard to improve relations with India. Unfortunately India did not respond with the same vigour.”

He hailed PM’s speech in the UN adding that Pakistan had raised the Kashmir issue in front of leaders from 11 countries.

Earlier the Prime Minister shook hands with party leaders who reached the venue to attend the meeting. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Defence Minister Khwaja Asif accompanied the premier.

Sherry Rehman, Qamar Zaman, Khursheed Shah, Naveed Qamar from Pakistan People’s Party, Mahmood Khan Achakzai from Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Maulana Fazlur Rehman from Jamiat Ulema Islami and Farooq Sattar from Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan are also in attendance.
