Polio drive kicks of in Lahore

LAHORE: The City District Government Lahore (CDGL) on Monday kicked off a polio drive in the provincial capital.

The three-day polio drive would administer polio drops to 1.6 million children who are less than five years in age. On the first day of the three-day polio drive, Lahore District Coordination Officer (DCO) Captain (r) Usman visited Chah Pachwarra UC-69 to check and inspect the performance of the polio teams.

Muhammad Usman also went door-to-door in a street and personally administered polio drops to the children. He visited and administered polio drops to a dozen of school children as well on the occasion. The DCO Lahore appealed the parents to administer polio drops to children and cooperate with the polio teams.
