ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday extended the tenure of Intelligence Bureau Director General Aftab Sultan by two years.
Sultan was first appointed as director general of the said organisation in 2011 and was reappointed in June 2013. His term was extended for one year in 2015, which is scheduled to end on April 2, 2016.
The prime minister has once again granted a two-year extension in his term. Sultan has also served as the inspector general of the Punjab Police (April 2013-June 2013).
