Dubai: The pink ball seems to be giving a hard time to bowlers along with dew.
Pakistani famous bowler Wahab Riaz admitted that he faced difficulty in handling the unique pink ball. The pacer said while talking to media after stumps on Saturday, bowlers were facing difficulty in taking wickets with the pink ball. He added that they have not understood how to handle the ball yet.
Wahab said, “It’s hard to bowl because the ball got wet and soft because of the dew, but our plan is to get wickets early on in the game and restrict West Indies from scoring.”
West Indies ended their innings at 315-6. Previously, West Indies swept by Pakistan’s first innings total of 579-3-declared by 264 runs. Shane Dowrich was udefeated on 27 with skipper Jason Holder 10 not out.
Earlier Darren Bravo disregarded a powerful bowling attack to score 87 during a 402-minute stay at the crease.
Wahab and leg-spinner Yasir Shah ended with 2 wickets respectively.
