KOLKATA – Pakistan cricket team head coach Waqar Younis has vowed to defeat arch-rivals India and change the course of history this time in their upcoming World Twenty20 clash on March 19 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

“India is under immense pressure and I am fully confident Pakistan will win the match and change the history,” Waqar said while talking to the press conference. T20 World Cup captain Shahid Khan Afridi was not present at the press conference. “Journalists ask critical question to Afridi,” Younis said, to a question about Afridi’s absence.

“If we play with the same spirit that the players showed in the first match, Pakistan will defeat India,” said the head coach. He said that Pakistan batsmen were in good form and that Pakistani the pace attack was also better as compared to Indian fast bowlers. “The Kolkata wicket is good. We will have a good match tomorrow,” said the former fast bowler.
