Pakistan test-fires anti-ship guided missile

KARACHI – The Pakistan Navy yesterday successfully test-fired an indigenously-built anti-ship guided missile, said a spokesman.According to the spokesman, the MT ship guided missile was fired from a navy ship during Pakistan Navy’s ongoing exercises called the Sea Spark.He said the missile hit the target with precision which was a proof of Pakistan’s warfare capabilities and a clear message to forces of enemies.

“In an impressive display of naval fire power, the frontline combat units of Pakistan Navy Fleet successfully test-fired anti-ship guided missiles in North Arabian Sea Saturday,” a press statement issued by Pakistan Navy said. According to a statement, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah along with senior naval officers witnessed the firings onboard PNS Alamgir.
The missiles launched from surface and air units successfully engaged their intended targets with pinpoint accuracy, thus re-asserting the lethality, precision and efficacy of Pakistan Navy weapon systems. Successful missile tests are a manifestation of navy’s optimum operational preparedness. Chief of the naval staff appreciated the remarkable demonstration of professionalism during missile firings and expressed his satisfaction over the combat readiness of the Navy.
Pakistan Navy is maintaining vigilance and optimum operational readiness to defend maritime frontiers and safeguard national interests.
