Pakistan, India deadlock continues on cricket series

DUBAI – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Khan on Sunday said that the meeting with Board of Control for Cricket in India President Shashank Manohar had been “fruitful”, but without breakthrough.Shahryar – who was invited by Maohar for a meeting at the International Cricket Council (ICC) headquarters here – said that England and Wakes Cricket Board (ECB) President Giles Clarke would brief the media tomorrow.”We had a fruitful meeting in which Sethi was there, Clarke was there as facilitator, it was a fruitful meeting and the decision is that Clarke will brief the media tomorrow,” he told reporters.When asked to give details of the meeting the PCB chairman said, “We have also decided that there will be no further briefing. I am not in a position to say more than this.”Najam Sethi – the head of the PCB’s Executive Committee – tweeted, “PCB and BCCI officials had a fruitful discussion in ICC office Dubai facilitated by ECB’s Giles Clarke who will field all questions in matter.”
