Pakistan beat Canada by 3-1 in Azlan Shah Hockey Cup

Pakistan defeated Canada by 3-1 in their opening match of Azlan Shah Cup as Muhammad Qadri scored twice.

Qadri’s brace had given Pakistan a 2-0 lead going well into the second half, but Canada’s Richard Holdreth reduced the gap by scoring in the 48th minute.

Muhammad Touseeq once again doubled Pakistan’s lead by scoring from the penalty corner to make the score 3-1.
Pakistan are also scheduled to play arch-rivals India in the tournament.

Pakistan have been getting positive results of late, as the team won the Gold in South Asian Games beating India in the final.
The Azlan Shah Cup also features Malaysia, Japan, New Zealand, Australia and India.
