ISLAMABAD: – Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan said that America has to decide the policy that would be implemented in the region. No country can attack a terrorist on another country’s soil without prior approval. US had not right to target Afghan Taliban leader on Pakistan soil.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Tuesday, he condemned the US drone strike in Pakistan as it was against UN’s charter violating the country’s sovereignty. “A clear policy will be formulated after return of the PM from London and a meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) will also be held,”he added.
He said that there will be total anarchy if if all countries begin targeting their enemies in other countries to ensure their own land’s safety. Many individuals who are a threat to Pakistan are present in the West.
He stated that Mansour was believed to be a hurdle in negotiations whereas various phases of dialogue between Taliban and the Afghan government were made possible because of him. He added that the attack will have serious implications upon the relations between the United States and Pakistan.
Nisar said that the corpse of the driver inside the car was identified, adding that identity of other dead body is yet to be determined. He stated that Pakistani government cannot make any clarifications in this regard unless a scientific investigation takes place. Without DNA tests, we can not confirm identification of Mullah Mansour.
He said that the passport belongs to a person named Wali Mohammad, adding that the identification card of this very person was made computerised in 2002 whereas he applied for a passport for the first time in 2005 and renewed in 2011.
Nisar said that intelligence agencies gave him information about the identity of the card holder and his Afghan identity on the basis of which it was cancelled along with 24,000 others.
