NAB arrests Bahauddin Zakariya University ex-vice chancellor

ISLAMABAD - The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Multan former vice chancellor Syed Khuwaja Alqama, and BZU Lahore Campus Director Hamza Munir on the charges of misuse of authority and cheating the public at large by opening a sub-campus of the university at Lahore illegally, the NAB said on Thursday.


The action has been taken by the NAB Multan director general in pursuance of policy for speedy disposal of mega corruption cases involving influential accused persons. The arrested accused persons will be produced before the court for physical custody on remand for further investigation, a NAB statement said.
