LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan on Friday said that Model Town incident was being used for political gains.
“The prime object behind the PAT’s sit-in is to create instability and chaos in the country,” he said.
Talking to the media outside the Punjab Assembly, he said all legal and constitutional obligations were fulfilled during the investigation of the Model Town incident. But, the PAT chief was misguiding the people.
He said the PAT Chief through his aggressive and emotional speeches was hiding facts and making political propaganda.
The minister recalled that soon after the Model Town incident a case was registered in the Faisal Town police station and on the instruction of the court, a case had also been registered against police officials and 42 PAT activists as well.
Answering a question, Sana said that district government had been directed to ensure peaceful holding of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) meeting.
