It’s PAX 2016 this week and Xbox gamers are getting a treat from Microsoft’s Xbox team with a demo of the new Gears of War 4.
Horde Mode in Gears of War has traditionally been a mode of multiplayer combat where players battle several waves of enemies known as the Horde. Players can face as many as 50 waves of the Horde, making it a challenge to face down and defeat wave after wave with tactics and strategy.
Microsoft had introduced Horde 2.0 in Gears of War 3 -and with Gears of War 4, Horde 3.0 will be making its debut at PAX this Friday to the delight of gamers. The new mode will be showcased live at PAX, with “star Gear players” facing off against each other to really play the game. Ther
Aside from showing off te new Horde Mode, Microsoft will be introducing a new Arms Race mode for Versus Multiplayer users. While no details are given, it’ll be a bit of fun to speculate exactly what’s coming based on the name itself (spoilers – violence will be involved).
Aside from details of new gaming features, Microsoft is also treating their attendee fans of the Gears of War gaming Franchise to giveaways featuring and other contests based on their performance on Horde 3.0 with prices such as “T-Shirts, Pins, Physical Gear Packs and a special Tony Moore poster [Saturday only]”.
Gears of War 4 will be available on Windows 10 and the Xbox One family from October via Xbox.
