Lunar eclipse to be visible in Pakistan on 16th

ISLAMABAD: The eclipse of moon would occur on September 16/17 and would be visible in Pakistan. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that this lunar eclipse would be the last lunar eclipse of this year. The penumbral eclipse would be visible from Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and West Pacific. The eclipse would begin at 9:55pm on September 16 and the greatest eclipse will be at 11:55pm. The eclipse would end at 01:54am on September 17. The lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes directly behind the earth into its umbra. This can occur only when the sun, earth and moon are aligned exactly, or very closely so, with the earth in the middle
