Legendary actor and star Habib-ur-Rehman passed away today at the age of 85 years in Lahore’s private hospital. He was born in 1931 in an Indian state Patiala.
He was admitted in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). According to sources, he was suffering high BP and sugar for past few years. Rehman’s funeral is today at his residence.
The legend started his film career in 1956 with debutant movie ‘Lakht–e–jigar‘ as a side hero along Santosh Kumar and Noor Jehan. Some of his super hit movies are ‘Zeher-e-Ishq’ with Musarrat Nazeer and these movie were the reasons of his popularity.
He won many awards like the Nigar award as a best actor for Luqman’s movie ‘Admi’ and Shabab Kiranvi’s ‘Surraiya’. He also won worldwide recognition for his heartfelt performance in the historical movie ‘Devdaas’ paired with Shamim Ara and Nayyar Sultana.
