Katrina Kaif finally opens up about split with Ranbir Kapoor

Actor Katrina Kaif has finally opened up and expressed her feelings about the split with Ranbir Kapoor. This comes after Ranbir Kapoor went public about his breakup with his Jagga Jasoos co-star.

In an interview given to CNN-News 18’s Rajeev Masand, Katrina was transparent about the way she dealt with it.

On being asked about how she leads a professional life despite all the unwanted attention on her break-up, Katrina said, “Being an actor is quite a luxurious job. But if worked in an office or had a normal job, you are still going to work. You would still be required to do your job. Your emotions are still the same.”

Katrina added, “In some way, all the attention is a good thing as it forces you to step up. It forces you not to indulge in self-pity. It forces you to get yourself together and stand up quicker. There are moments in one’s life where things can’t be tougher. But I take those moments as a challenge.”

Although Ranbir Kapoor on his part has so far remained vague and avoided giving any specific reason for their split, he did mention it punctured a lot of things in his life.

During an earlier interview with Rajeev Masand, Ranbir had also spoken about his relationship with Katrina. He had said, “I cannot sit and explain my heart or my feelings. When my relationship is concerned it was really punctured by a lot of things. By baseless rumours and reports and perceptions and point of views. It hurt because I think after my parents, she’s been the most influential, most motivational entity in my life.”

On being enquired further, Ranbir had managed to raise eyebrows with his answer. “Like I said, I have not even said that I have broken up,” he said, “Because, I don’t find the need to say that. It is too dear to me and I don’t want to talk about it.”
