Karachi operation is ‘unfair’: MQM leadership tells Ch. Nisar

ISLAMABAD(Neo Web Desk) The MQM conveyed on Tuesday its concerns to the federal government against the ongoing operation of Rangers in Karachi and called it ‘unfair’ and ‘discriminatory’.

The party claimed that it was intentionally targeted or victimised, although the operation was apparently launched against criminals and outlaws.

During a meeting with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, a delegation of MQM comprising Dr Farooq Sattar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Barrister Saif and Kanwar Naveed Jamil conveyed to the minister the MQM’s concerns on the operation, said a spokesman for the ministry. Chaudhry Nisar, however, supported the operation and said it was being carried out according to law and without any discrimination.
