ISLAMABAD – Pakistan should consider participating in the South Asian Games, India’s High Commission in Pakistan Chargé d’Affaires JP Singh said on Wednesday.
Singh – along with five other Indian officials – met Federal Minister for Inter-provincial Coordination Riaz Hussain Pirzada.
The Indian official said that Pakistan and India should cooperate with each other in sports. “We will provide full-proof security to Pakistan in SAF Games,” he said.
It may be mentioned here that the 12th edition of the South Asian Games is scheduled to take place in Guwahati, India, from January 10-20.
At present, SAG are joined by eight members namely Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
