LAHORE – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will watch Twenty20 match between Pakistan and India on March 19.
According to the PTI’s sources, Imran Khan has finalised arrangements to travel to New Delhi on March 18. The former Pakistan captain will give his expert opinion on a local TV channel before traveling to Kolkata, where Pakistan and India will clash on March 19.
Twenty captain Shahid Afridi said that former greats Imran Khan and Wasim Akram would motivate the team ahead of World Twenty20 games in India. His statement on social media came hours after the government cleared ways for the team to travel to India.
Afridi urged fans to back the team for the mega event being played in India. “We want to leave behind the uncertainty and concerns in India,” he said. “We only want to focus on cricket and winning. Keep supporting the green team,” Afridi tweeted. He further said that batsmen must take responsibility and score enough for bowlers to defend.
