ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Javed Iqbal.
“Grieved to learn the passing of Dr Javed Iqbal, a jurist, scholar and philosopher. His death is a great loss for Pakistan,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
“Son of the great philosopher and poet Allama Iqbal, Dr Javed Iqbal leaves behind a wealth of writings on Islam, philosophy and law,” he added.
Javed Iqbal – a former chief justice of the Lahore High Court – passed away in Lahore at the age of 90. He was under treatment at the Shaukat Khanum hospital.
