ISLAMABAD - The government has decided to send a team of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to the United Kingdom to seek more information from the Scotland Yard regarding Imran Farooq murder case.
According to media reports, the FIA would examine the evidences recovered from the crime scene. It would also probe the evidences in the light of the confessional statements recorded by two accused in the high profile murder case.
They said that Scotland Yard is in constant touch with FIA officials. The FIA team would leave for UK after final approval of Interior Ministry, the sources said.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) senior leader Dr Imran Farooq was stabbed to death in London in 2010.
