Myanmar: A giant, precious jade stone has been found by miners in Myanmar.
The stone weights 175 tones, is 14 feet in height and 19 feet long and is worth approximately $170 million.
It was found in a mine located in jade-producing northern state of Kachin.
Myanmar, aka Burma, is considered as the largest jade-producing country and famous for world’s finest jadeite, a near-translucent green stone.
The country’s jade industry is responsible for nearly half of its GDP.
Neighboring country China is one of its biggest markets, where it is known as the “stone of heaven”.
