GILGIT BALTISTAN: A five-year old child was found mysteriously dead in the forest of Chilas valley and the blame for his death is being put not on any human being but ghosts. The kid named Ahmed, who lived in Somal village, 30 kilometres from Diamer city, had gone missing 11 days ago. Later, the villagers found him dead in the forest and his parents claim that their son was killed by ghosts.
However, Chief Minister of Gilgit Baltistan, Hafiz Hafeez has taken notice of the mysterious death of the small boy while the IG Diamer says the actual reasons behind the kid’s death will be brought to light. Four days before Eidul Alzha, Ahmed had gone out to fetch water from a fountain but never came back. The villagers along with his parents looked for him everywhere but failed to find the kid. On October 1, eleven days after he had gone missing, villagers found his tortured dead body in the forest.
The parents’ statement recorded at City Chilas police station says their kid was killed by none other than ghosts. Later, a team headed by DIG police exhumed the body of Ahmed. His body was examined and samples were sent for tests.
According to police, the investigation is underway and only upon its completion the actual cause of death will be ascertained.
