Lahore: First International PACES Championship-2016 has begun at Ayub Stadium in Lahore on October 18.
Pull-Ups, Sit-Ups, and Combat Efficiency Test have been arranged in Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System (PACES) Championship.
Army teams from different other countries including Nepal, United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, China, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Turkey and Maldives are participating in the tournament along with Pakistan.
Over three hundred army personnel from 20 countries will exhibit their physical fitness and combat skill during the six-day championship.
Director ISPR Brig Anwaar Ahmed said while addressing a press conference, said that all participating teams have reached the city and they will demonstrate their talent in the categories of Push-Ups, Sit-Ups Chin-Ups and Combat Efficiency Test at 3 different venues.
Director PACES Event Brig (Retd) Yousaf informed the media that about 3.5 million soldiers have gone through the regime of PACES training until now and Pakistan Army has organized 9 championships.
