FIR registered over PIA workers killing

KARACHI:Amid a crisis-like situation across the country, police have registered a case of a shooting incident in which two protesting workers of the Pakistan International Airlines were killed earlier this week.On the complaint filed by PIA’s Joint Action Committee Chairman Sohail Baloch, the case included provisions of murder and attempt to murder.The FIR also accused five government figures- Mushahidullah, Pervaiz Rashid, Shujaat Azeem, Maqsood and Brig (r) Asif – of hatching conspiracy.Earlier a local court had issued an order to register the first information report (FIR) of the incident.

On February 02, two PIA workers were shot during a protest demonstration in Karachi against proposed privatisation of the national flag carrier.The PIA workers who were killed in the protest included aircraft engineer Saleem Akbar and manager communication Inayat Raza.
