ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government has rejected Sindh Government’s summery pertaining to limited powers of Rangers in the province, sources said.
“Sindh government will be formally informed in the next hour,” government sources told the media.
Sindh Assembly, in its resolution, has given limited powers to the paramilitary force, according to the federal government’s stance, sources said.
Sindh government has shown hesitation in extending the authorities of Rangers especially in context of Dr. Asim case who is a PPP leader and a close companion of Asif Ali Zardari. The federal government wants to continue the military operation in Karachi without any conditions.
