Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Thursday met Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari in Dubai and exchanged views on the country’s political situation, including Terms of Reference (TORs) for Panama probe and federal budget for the fiscal year 2016-17.
During the meeting, Zardari said that the PPP should ensure transparent investigation of allegations levelled in the Panama Papers and that every decision should be made in consultation with other opposition parties. “The PPP shouldn’t neglect transparent investigation into Panama Leaks,” Zardari was quoted as having said.
According to sources in the PPP, Khursheed Shah also informed the former president that the masses had not been given relief in the federal budget for the next financial year. He also apprised Zardari with the opposition’s reservations on the budget.
