Election Tribunal summons Ayaz Sadiq, Aleem Khan in NA-122 by-polls case

Lahore: Election tribunal summoned Aleem Khan and Ayyaz Saqid on 22 December over alleged rigging case in NA-122 by-election, Neo News reported.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Aleem Khan filed plea against result of NA-122 by-polls on November 26 terming the elections as biased, due to alleged transfer of votes from the constituency.

PMLN candidate Ayyaz Sadiq won re-election of NA-122 by-polls with majority of votes, which later challenged by runner up Aleem Khan.The tribunal has accepted the plea and directed PML-N’s winning candidate Ayaz Sadiq to submit reply till December 22.

PML-N’s Sardar Ayaz Sadiq elected twice as Speaker of National Assembly after clinching majority of votes in NA-122 by-polls on 11 October.
