Dutch Industrial Production Rebounds In September

AMSTERDAM: Dutch industrial production increased in September after falling in the previous month, figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics showed Monday.The average daily output of Dutch manufacturing industry rose 0.7 percent year-over-year in September, reversing a 0.6 percent fall in August, In July, output grew 0.5 percent.Production in the pharmaceutical industry grew the most by 9.4 percent in September, followed by the electrical industry that climbed 4.2 percent from the preceding year.At the same time, output in the chemical industry contracted 4.8 percent and the machinery industry logged a negative growth of 2.7 percent.On a monthly basis, industrial production went up a seasonally adjusted 0.4 percent in September, but slower than the 1.6 percent rise in August. It was the second successive monthly increase.
