Lahore: At least 10 passengers were injured as a Shaheen Airline plane made an emergency landing on Tuesday at the Allama Iqbal International Airport.
The NL-142 flight which departed from Karachi was forced to make an emergency landing as its tyres burst, according to initial reports. At least 112 passengers and seven crew members were on board the flight.
Another local media reported that the plane’s landing gear malfunctioned and its tire burst shortly before it touched ground. Sources added that the Shaheen Airlines plane veered off path of the runway and landed on the grass.
The runway was closed for flights following the landing.
