ISLAMABAD: An anti-corruption court in Karachi has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for former federal minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim in Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) corruption case here on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the apex court also adjourned the hearing of Pakistan People s Party (PPP) and former Prime Minister (PM) Yousuf Raza Gilani’s case till November 19 and reserved decision over his exemption plea from appearing in court.
Gilani and PPP leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim, along with certain former and serving officials of TDAP were booked for their alleged involvement in expenditure of false trade subsidies amounting to billions of rupees.
Earlier, the court granted bail to former premier Yousaf Raza Gilani in as many as 11 corruption cases over bail bond worth Rs 1 lac in each case.
Talking to media after the hearing, Yousaf Raza Gilani stated that he is seeking justice from the judiciary but if such an action is taken then no PM will stay safe.
