Army chief directs security operation after suicide attack in Lahore

RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif chaired a high-level security meeting late on Sunday night, according to Asim Saleem Bajwa, the director general of the Inter Services Public Relations.

Among others, the directors general of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the Military Intelligence also attended the meeting. Having evaluated initial information, the army chief directed commanders concerned and intelligence agencies to commence operations as soon as possible to find linkages and perpetrators of Lahore suicide attack.

General Sharif expressed resolve by saying, “we must bring the killers of our innocent brothers, sisters and children to justice and will never allow these savage inhuman to over run our life and liberty.”
