The Asian Development Bank has approved 100 million dollars loan for a highway project in Pakistan.
In a statement, ADB President Takehiko Nakao said the project has strategic value to Pakistan. It supports north-south connectivity, new trade, and business opportunities, which will boost jobs and cut poverty.
The United Kingdom’s Department for International Development has also committed to provide 34 million dollars grant for the project.
The project is also an integral part of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation corridors.
