Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control observed Accession to Pakistan Day today (Tuesday) with a renewed pledge to continue their freedom struggle till liberation of the state from Indian subjugation.
To mark the day, rallies were held in various cities, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi, to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
Lawyers took out a protest demonstration in the capital and presented a memorandum to the UN Military Observers Group in India and Pakistan. They urged the UN body to fulfil its commitment with regard to grant of right of self-determination to Kashmiris.
Rawalpindi Arts Council also arranged a rally on Murree Road in the city, which was also joined by members of the general public, artists and journalists.
The participants urged the international community to take notice of the grave human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.
