9 dead, almost 100 injured as Jaffar Express derails near Quetta

Quetta: At least Eight people including Engine Driver and assistant driver were killed and more than hundred passengers were injured when Rawalpindi-bound train Jaffar Express derailed near Aab-Gum area of Bolan today.

The Levies sources told that all bogies including engine of the train were derailed due to brake failure.

Seventy injured have been shifted to Mach hospital while other serious wounded are being shifted to Quetta hospitals, where an emergency has been declared in all the hospitals.

According to Railway sources the relief train has been dispatched to the site while helicopter of Pak Army have also been sent.

Earlier this month, three passengers of the Jaffar Express were killed and 11 others were injured in a bomb blast on a railway track in Mastung district.
