Islamabad – A healthy breakfast should help blood sugar levels from getting too high and should keep you full through the morning. Whereas cereal and toast may be cheap, but these options rise blood sugar levels very quickly and may leave you hungry again before lunch.
Consultant Endocrinologist Dr Tayyab Badshah said this. He gave this piece of advice at a public awareness seminar organized by Shifa International Hospital to observe World Diabetes Day. The highest prevalence of diabetes is in China and India. Pakistan is at the 10th position, with over 7 million diabetic patients between 20 to 79 years of age, another health expert said.
