5.1 magnitude earthquake jolts parts of country

An earthquake has jolted different parts of the country on Thursday (today). The areas hit by the earthquake include Lahore, Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to American Geological Survey, the magnitude recorded on the Richter scale was 5.1 with epicentre at Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, with a focal depth of 200kms.

No casualties has been reported yet.

Tremors were also felt in Chitral, Malakand, Swat and other regions.
