3 dead as fire engulfs circus near Minar-e-Pakistan

LAHORE: As many as three people were killed today as fire engulfed a circus named Farzand circus near Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore.

The deceased were said to be employees of the circus. All 3 lost their lives by electrocution, while attempting to extinguish the flames.

According to the details, dead bodies of the 3 employees Ilyas, Zafar and Ramzan, who lost their lives, were shifted to the mortuary of Mayo hospital.

Another injured employee was also shifted to the hospital whose condition is being said to be in critical condition.

All 3 employees belonged to Bahawalpur.

Rescue teams arrived at the scene and managed to put out the raging blaze in time.

Police conducted a search operation and cleared the area. 2 relatives of the killed employees reached Tibi city police station and have submitted a request for registering a case against the administration of Farzand circus.
