25 of 68 polling stations of Landhi taken over by Haqiqi, alleges Sattar

KARACHI–Mutahida Qaumi Movement’s Deputy Convener Dr Farooq Sattar on Saturday alleged that more than 25 of the 68 polling stations in seven union councils of Landhi area have been taken over by their opponent – the Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi.

Addressing a press conference, the Mutahida leader said that more than 25 men workers and around 20 women workers of their party were subjected to maltreatment while none of their polling agents were allowed to guide their voters reaching the polling stations. He said that there was no action taken by any authority.

Dr Sattar– who was accompanied by another MQM leader Nasreen Jalil–said that the matter was immediately reported to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).However, his party decided to intimate people about the situation through media.
