Islamabad: Federal Commerce Minister Khurram Dastagir told the Parliamentarians that 199,860 donkey skins were exported from Pakistan during the last three years.
While answering to a question, he further admitted that 6950 horse hides were also exported from Pakistan. There is no record of any bear or tiger skin which is shipped out of the country. He maintained that the export orders are met according to the requisitions sent by the foreign countries, and there is no issue pertaining to the tariff on the export.
When member National Assembly Tahira Aurangzaib asked the trade minister that what about the donkey meat of the 199,860 donkeys, the Minister simply said that he has no information about it but will update about this after consulting the Provincial administration.
